When things get too much, acknowledge it and take some time out for yourself.
Life can get messy, but it would be boring if it was a straight line. Still, it’s important to take a step back when it gets too much so spend some time on yourself to recharge.
Try these ways to soothe yourself to calm your mind:
Allow yourself to feel and experience emotions
Go for a walk in nature, smell a flower, watch the clouds.
Lean your back against a wall or chair and feel the pressure
Take deep belly breaths through the mouth
Lay on your back and feel the ground holding you
Cook a home-made meal with lots of spices that calm the nervous system (cinnamon, tumeric, ashwaganda)
Take a warm bath and cuddle up in your favourite blanket
Remember - it's a bad day, not a bad life.
