Messy Days call for Soothing Ways

When things get too much, acknowledge it and take some time out for yourself.


Life can get messy, but it would be boring if it was a straight line. Still, it’s important to take a step back when it gets too much so spend some time on yourself to recharge.


Try these ways to soothe yourself to calm your mind:

  • Allow yourself to feel and experience emotions

  • Go for a walk in nature, smell a flower, watch the clouds.

  • Lean your back against a wall or chair and feel the pressure

  • Take deep belly breaths through the mouth

  • Lay on your back and feel the ground holding you

  • Cook a home-made meal with lots of spices that calm the nervous system (cinnamon, tumeric, ashwaganda)

  • Take a warm bath and cuddle up in your favourite blanket

Remember - it's a bad day, not a bad life.
